We're looking for a professional and organized Copy Clerk (Full Time) to provide extraordinary customer service. Your primary job will be to serve as the first point of contact for incoming documents. Additional administrative duties include filing documents with the court, distributing copies to clients and opposing counsel, and assisting in the maintenance of the firm's electronic filing system. Responsibilities:
Receive and distribute incoming mail and packages to the appropriate departments and individuals within the law firm
Scan legal pleadings and ensure that they are properly stored and organized
Prepare legal pleadings for filing with the court by ensuring that they meet the necessary requirements and deadlines
Maintain accurate records of all legal pleadings filed with the court, including tracking their status and ensuring that they are properly stored
Ensure that confidential information is protected at all times
Perform general office duties, such as photocopying, faxing, and data entry
Any other related tasks as assigned by the Mailroom Manager or other management personnel
Deliver and pick up documents and materials, such as court filings and client files, to and from the firms office, courthouses, and other locations as required
Ensure that all deliveries are made in a timely and professional manner, and are handled with confidentiality and discretion
Make copies, scan documents, and perform other administrative tasks as needed
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including the date, time, and recipient
Maintains records for management reports and inventories of supplies needed in the mail/copier area
Uses all copier equipment, calculator, fax machine, postage meter, and some PC
Responsible for interacting and providing professional-level support to executive-level end-users at various levels, including legal assistants, paralegals, associates, and partners
Perform quality accurate jobs/projects that may require tight deadlines and potentially under high pressure
Assist with other office tasks as needed
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required, some college experience preferred
Proficient in basic computer software and can quickly learn to use new programs
Require valid driver's license and reliable transportation
History of being deadline-driven and extremely organized
Navigates computer programs with ease to provide a quick front-desk experience for customers
Shows great interpersonal skills and excellent written communication
Prior experience in office management or our industry is a plus
