Registered Nurse

Job requires travel to Pahrump. Mileage paid, please only inquire if you have reliable transportation and are able to make the drive.

We are looking for a reliable LPN or RN (Registered Nurse) to provide care in a considerate and professional manner for Pahrump facility. The professional must be qualified with current license and familiar with the State of Nevada practices. The ideal candidate will be experienced in providing diverse care to those who need it. This position is very demanding but is compensated accordingly.

Responsibilities

• Record a patient’s medical history accurately
• Take and record measurements of blood pressure, temperature, heart rate etc.
• Observe patients under treatment to identify progress, side-effects of medications etc.
• Monitor patients’ condition including fluid intake and output and compose patient charts
• Administer injections, prescribed medications, enemas etc.
• Collect samples for lab testing as assigned
• Provide emotional and psychological support when needed
• Communicate with patients’ family or friends to provide advice, comfort, and release instructions
• All other patient care as required by provider

Skills

• Proven experience as RN or LPN
• Ability to undertake a variety of diverse care tasks and work in a multidisciplinary team
• Familiarity with hospital health, safety and sanitation standards and procedures
• Understanding of confidentiality obligations and nursing best practices
• All patient care or services
• Excellent knowledge of medical and hospital terminology
• Good knowledge of MS Office and data entry
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Compassionate and able to handle stress
• Successful completion of RN or LPN license program is a must

Qualifications

• Previous experience in nursing or other medical fields
• Familiarity with medical software and equipment
• Ability to build rapport with patients
• Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

Job Type: Part-time, Per Diem

Rates: $40.00 to  $50.00 Weekday,  $45.00 to $55.00 Weekend  - Travel per day is reimbursed. Rate is based on your licensure.

Schedule: 12-hour shifts

• 6pm to 6am
• 6am to 6pm

Ability to commute:

• Pahrump, NV (Required)

License/Certification in Nevada: RN or LPN  License (Required)
